She was born on September 8, 1960 in Staples, Minnesota to parents Melvin and Beverly Baldwin. Kelly attended high school in Whitefish, Montana and was a resident of the Spokane area for over 30 years. Sewing many years as an industrial seamstress, Kelly also enjoyed sewing and creating for family and friends. Kelly was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. She had an incredible gift of creativity and made many unique and beautiful things, whether it was with her sewing machine, doing ceramics, creating metalwork, beadwork or making jewelry. She created beauty in everything she touched. Kelly was also a lifelong motorcycle rider, starting with dirt bikes when she was young, and ending up with the HD sporty that she built herself. She was a “lady rider” even before it was really fashionable for women to ride their own. She may have lost her battle with cancer, but the beauty of her artistic touch, and the many memories of days spent riding with her will endure forever. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
