Mildred "Mid" Krieder

July 2009 Mildred "Mid" Krieder was struck down by a pick-up truck while returning from a jazz festival on her bike. She was riding her bike and riding behind her husband. Mildred, who insisted to be called Mid, was loved by many. She would take time out of her busy schedule, at her espresso stand, to give advice, listen, or just talk to anyone who wanted, needed or had the time. Mid was always open-7 days a week and weather permitting always rode her bike. Mid was a strong woman, who, with her husband Jeff, were transplanted from the coast to Coulee City. There, she started her espresso stand for a year. She then moved it down to Soap Lake, were she became a driving force in the community. Mid helped organize the Soap Lake motorcycle run and the Old Pig run car show. Mid was very outgoing with the educational programs and businesses in the community and the Soap Lake government. Mid worked on her bike, car and racecar too. Yes, she raced too. The love of her life was her family. Mid will be missed by all who knew her.
